How to Copy and Paste on Whatsapp

Looking to copy and paste a message on WhatsApp? Here's how you can do it in a few simple steps, it's really straightforward.

  1. Long-press the message you want to copy
    Navigate to the message you wish to copy and long-press it until it highlights, indicating it's ready to be copied.

    Want to do more? If one message isn't enough, after selecting the first, continue to long-press additional messages you'd like to include. Then, a simple tap on the copy icon gathers them all.

  2. Copy the message
    Look up: you'll see an icon resembling two sheets stacked on each other. That's the copy button. Can't find it? No worries: click on the three dots at the top right corner and you'll find the "Copy" option in the menu that pops up. Then, select "Copy".

  3. Long-press where you wish to paste the message
    And for pasting? It's a breeze. Go to where you want to leave your message, be it in a WhatsApp chat or another app. For instance, head to the typing area of another chat and long-press in the text field until the "Paste" option appears.

  4. Select the Paste option
    Tap on paste and you're all set. A copy of the message will be displayed. You've successfully copied and pasted the message.

This feature can be used to move texts between different chats or even between different apps like Messenger or Facebook.

The steps in this tutorial have been tested on Android devices but are also applicable to iOS.
